Duo-A Protocol & Usage Guidelines

Step-Up Retinoid Program
Before introducing Duo-A, ensure clients have completed skin preparation with:

1. Refine – applied every second evening.

Once tolerated, transition to Duo-A (every second night). Begin application at the forehead, blending downward over the face. Avoid eyelids and neck.

For Clients Using Serum 16, Define, or Serum 24

• Step up to Refine, followed by Duo-A.

• Skin tolerance improves after a series of Today Peels.

• Assess tolerance by monitoring skin’s response to higher-strength peels and increased frequency of Define (AHA + Retinol AGP).

• If a client experiences tightness immediately after cleansing, start using Serum 16 or Serum 24. Then transition to Refine (every second evening), then Duo-A.

Preparation for Tomorrow Peel Protocol
Follow the same prep schedule as for Define or Refine:

Fitzpatrick I & II Skin Types:

• Use Duo-A every second evening for a minimum of 14 nights.

Fitzpatrick III Skin Types:

• Use Duo-A every second evening for a minimum of 21 nights.

Fitzpatrick IV Skin Types:

• Use Duo-A every second evening for a minimum of 28 nights.

Fitzpatrick VI Skin Types:

• Use Duo-A every second evening for a minimum of 35 nights.

Fitzpatrick from I – VI Skin Types:

• Discontinue 48 hours prior to Timeless Peel, Blueberry Jessner (4–6 layers), or Deep Sea Peel.

• Always combine with a higher oncentration of L-lactic acid. Use Purity Clean twice a day morning and evening. Enhance results by doing a double clease at night, using a gentle cleanser such as Benefit Clean or Purity Solution followed by Purity Clean. Once tolerated for fourteen days, apply Purity Clean as a mask in the morning. Massage two pumps onto skin and leave to dry for three minutes. Remove with water and continue the homecare plan as normal.
• Once a week, do a double clenase and apply Pure Enzyme mask. Leave to dry for a minimum of fifteen minutes, then remove with water. Continue the homecare plan as normal.
• To boost the preparation programme, in the morning, after cleansing, use Prep & Reset pads every three days.
