Is DUO-A suitable for sensitive skin?
It’s best for users with established retinoid experience.
Will it make my skin sun-sensitive?
DUO-A is buffered to minimise irritation but all retinoids increase sun sensitivity. Use a sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB with a minimum of SPF30 daily, even during winter. When outdoors and in direct sunlight, re-apply a minimum of SPF30 every two hours.
How soon can I expect results?
You may notice improved texture and tone within 2–4 weeks, with firmer, smoother skin in 8–12 weeks.
Can I use this alongside in-clinic treatments?
Yes! DUO-A is ideal for prepping your skin for Today & Tomorrow peels or microneedling.

Dispense 1 pump and apply to clean skin as tolerated every 1-3 nights, working up to nightly use. May be followed with moisturiser if additional hydration is needed. Protect your results by wearing sunscreen daily.
- Not suitable during pregnancy
- Use SPF daily during treatment period
Duo-A Protocol & Usage Guidelines
Step-Up Retinoid Program
Before introducing Duo-A, ensure clients have completed skin preparation with:
-
Refine – applied every second evening.
Once tolerated, transition to Duo-A (every second night). Begin application at the forehead, blending downward over the face. Avoid eyelids and neck.
For Clients Using Serum 16, Define, or Serum 24
-
Step up to Refine, followed by Duo-A.
-
Skin tolerance improves after a series of Today Peels.
-
Assess tolerance by monitoring skin’s response to higher-strength peels and increased frequency of Define (AHA + Retinol AGP).
- If a client experiences tightness immediately after cleansing, start using Serum 16 or Serum 24. Then transition to Refine (every second evening), then Duo-A.
